When low-income families can choose where to live, their life trajectories change. We work to make that possible.
Rental assistance is a lifeline, but the infrastructure that allows it to increase family choice and opportunity is at risk: housing authorities are being pushed to cut costs, antidiscrimination protections are eroding, and policies are being proposed and enacted that undermine basic supports for low-income families. We’re fighting against these forces alongside housing mobility programs across the country.

Training Institute

Our Housing Mobility Training Institute is designed for staff that are new to housing mobility, to build connections and skills that will equip and empower them to contribute to a successful mobility program. Offered annually, the Institute features instruction from program practitioners, participants, advocates, and landlord partners. Topics include the historical and policy context, participant leadership, landlord relations, trauma-informed pre- and post-move services, and HCV administration for mobility. Agenda forthcoming!
Socialize at the HM26 Social!
October 6, 2026
The HM26 Social will be held at the Wild Eagle Saloon from 5-7. Located at 921 Huron Road East, Cleveland, OH 44115, the Saloon is .1 miles from the hotel and .3 from the venue. The Social is open to all Training Institute and Practitioner Gathering attendees and will include light refreshments, as well as unlimited duckpin bowling and two pool tables. We hope to see everyone there!
Practitioner Gathering

After the success of Boston and Chicago Gatherings, we are thrilled to host our third Practitioner Gathering. It brings together mobility practitioners from around the country to trade wisdom, collaborate, and build motivation and resilience to sustain their advancement of family choice and opportunity. The day will include facilitated peer activities and advanced training. For the Cleveland Gathering, we will explore housing supply innovations, voucher utilization, increasing community inclusivity, and more. Stay tuned for details!
