LaKita Steel, a native of Long Island, New York, serves as a community advocate for clients with vouchers there and in nearby Queens. She is also an Assistant Property Manager intern at a real estate agency, handling tenant questions and complaints, processing rental applications, checking background and credit, and leasing. LaKita has a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Mass Communications from St. John’s University, a Master of Art in Public Relations from Full Sail University, and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Capella University studying Human Services with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Management. LaKita is dedicated to helping families with Housing Choice Vouchers and anything related to human services. She loves music, art, movies, fashion, sports, books, exercising, meditation, church, friends, and family, especially her children. She lives by 3 P’s: Passion, Purpose, and Persistence.
