Rical King is from Illinois where, as a young child, she saw how her mother and many people in her community worked 12 hours per day or more and still did not make enough income to meet the needs of their families. She believes that families deserve opportunity and support so they can better their circumstances, and she is motivated to help those who have been left behind. Rical was able to participate in a mobility program, which made all the difference in the world for her and her family, so she serves on the Mobility Works board to pay the opportunity forward. She believes that in working with an organization like Mobility Works, she can use her skills, creativity, and experience to improve families’ lives. She has worked and volunteered at other nonprofits and is currently a member of the Housing Choice Partners Participant Advisory Council. In addition to volunteering, she enjoys attending church and creating art.
