The BasicsMobility Works

Who are we?

Mobility Works is a national membership organization that works to promote self-determination among low-income families and expand housing choice by supporting moves from under-resourced neighborhoods to communities with safe housing, high-performing schools, green space, and access to employment. We do so by teaming up with housing authorities, finance agencies, nonprofits, and philanthropic organizations to develop regional housing mobility programs.

Our founding members include the national civil rights policy group PRRAC and three leading housing mobility practitioners: the Baltimore Regional Housing Partnership, Housing Choice Partners, and the Inclusive Communities Project.

“The housing mobility program has given me and my children a better
and healthier environment for us to grow.”
– Housing Mobility Participant
